What is transitional rehabilitation?
Transitional Rehab was started as a Berks Elite initiative to help athletes who’ve suffered serious or minor injuries and help transition them back to their sport. To do this, Berks Elite works with the athlete’s medical team to help coordinate areas of concentration and areas to avoid. In this day and age of medical coverage and insurance, many athletes, while medically cleared, are not yet prepared for the rigors of 100% athletic activity and competition. Berks Elite’s knowledgeable, certified and professional staff are the most trusted by Berks County physicians and physical therapists to handle this very specific care. Due to these specifics, we do this in a 1 on 1, personal environment where your athlete and their needs are at the forefront.
Many times this care is short, and progresses in terms of intensity throughout each session. Berks Elite has successfully trained and transitioned a variety of athletes and injuries. Those include, ACL, collar bone, osgood slaughters, stress fractures, sprained ankles, hamstring pull/tears, hip flexor, and more.
